What…?

I woke up this morning feeling like my ear was stuffed with wet cotton balls. And any time anyone says anything, my ear rings. Ya. Fun stuff.
The wet cotton balls seemed to have gone away, but there’s still a resonating tone whenever someone talks (or screeches or makes any noise of any time). It’s about [...]

Friday’s Foto Finish Fiesta

Candid Carrie sponsors this one – head over to her blog and find LOTS of links for bloggers who’ve joined in! (You can join in too!)
I debated over posting this (thinking of his teen-aged years), but it’s just too cute – and I have no problem with kids playing dress-up
You can’t see it, [...]

I’ve Got an Idea

While thinking about my company’s “problem” and how they’re (hopefully!!) trying to save money by asking more people to work from home, I was reminded of something I read about how some companies are encouraging people to work from home and have no actual office buildings at all.
For a lot of people (like me), this [...]

Way Back When-esday

Cheryl over at Twinfatuation hosts this one. Go on over to see who else is playing – and join in too!
This one isn’t so way back, it’s from just about this time last year…Maggie’s first haircut!
Don’t let that face fool you though…she did *NOT* want to be in the chair.
She’s had one more since this [...]

4-Year-Old Check Up

The twins had their 4-year-old doctor’s appointment today.
They are still little, but they’re getting bigger!
Burke’s Stats
39 inches tall (up 3 from last year)
30 pounds (up 3 from last year)
Both of these are well below average, but Dr. Doctor noticed that he never stops moving and concluded that he just burns off a ton each day.
She [...]

Rumors

You may remember my dilemma about pre-school for the kids next year…and how the heck I’m going to get them there since we decided on the more appropriate (for them) T, W, TH schedule.
Well…my problem may be solved. There are rumors going around that in an effort to save some money, my office is going [...]

Lower Case

Burke surprised us yesterday by writing his name…with lower case letters!
GO BURKE!!!
I’m also including the card he wrote for Daddy on Valentine’s Day. He knows what letter each person starts with, so he writes that down and then looks at me and says “And then..?”
He ended up writing out everyone’s name on Daddy’s [...]

Wishing For Summer

The other day, Maggie looked at me and declared “I like Summer.” I believe she had just seen some snowflakes. Poor kid. I like Summer too!
The sun was actually shining today, so we went outside for a while and pretended like it was summer.

Bad Haiku Friday

Laura at Catholic Teacher Musings hosts a Bad Haiku every Friday. Wanna try one? It’s pretty easy to create bad poetry

Oh grand potato,
You are so tasty to me;
I’d eat one daily.

High Fidelity

One more from FB (If I write out the whole name, I get an alarming number of hits. Why are people searching on FB???)
Sorry (again) FB buddies!
Think of 15 albums that had such a profound effect on you. They changed your life or the way you looked at it. They sucked you in and took [...]
